MAX SILVER | WRITER, DIRECTOR 

Max Silver currently works at Anonymous Content (True Detective, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) for commercial and film director Malcolm Venville.

Since moving to Los Angeles three years ago, he has worked on over two dozen international commercial campaigns, including for Apple, Google, Microsoft and Nike. He co-wrote the television series Marcus & Company, optioned by Anonymous Content, filmed Venville’s award-winning documentary short Karl Lagerfeld: Zillions in Switzerland, and won the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant for his short screenplay Billy Gets His Balls Back. He also wrote and directed a commercial campaign for Emerson Defense Solutions.

Silver attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. His thesis film Chair won Distinction in Cinema and Media Studies, the Larson Award for the Arts, and the Award of Excellence in the Best Shorts Competition. His photograph Sunset in Moravia won the “Picturesque Place” and “People’s Choice” awards in the Carleton Off-Campus Studies Photo Contest, and first place in the Associated Colleges of the Midwest Photo Contest. He also produced the short film Nova Roma which premiered at the Twin Cities Film Festival.

RACHEL SKLAR | PRODUCER

Rachel Sklar grew up in Newton, Massachusetts. She attended Carleton College in rural Minnesota, majoring in film. Sklar's thesis film, Perfect Goulash, was an official selection in the Los Angeles Women's Film Festival.

Sklar moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to work at Hank Corwin's post house (Tree of Life, Natural Born Killers). She moved on to work as assistant to director Christina Beck (Perfection).  Sklar also free-lanced as a Script Supervisor, collaborating on numerous independent features, shorts, and webseries around Los Angeles. 

After a series of development internships at Darren Star Productions (Sex and the City) and Vendome Pictures (Source Code), Sklar became the assistant to Greg Coote (former CEO of Dune Entertainment and Village Roadshow). Recently, Sklar has been working as Creative Executive at Larrikin Entertainment, Coote's production company. She works closely with the Head of Development, Robert Lundberg, to select and develop material for the company's slate of feature films and TV series.

KAI NIEDERMAIR | EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Kai Niedermair is a Washington DC native, with a bi-lingual background in German and English.  Since studying Architecture and Urban Design at Dalhousie University, his free-range work has always been entrepreneurial. As a start-up advisor, business development consultant, photographer, executive producer, and cognoscente of contempo, his passion is seeing “life as art” and the creation of interconnections between talented individuals and opportunities.
In 2011 Niedermair joined  Emerson Defense Solutions, a DC based defense and intelligence strategic consultancy firm for which he and Silver produced a commercial campaign. As a photographer, Niedermair coordinated and shot commercial campaigns in South America for Airbus, Master Films and the Jeffrey Group.  

In addition to his role with EDS, Niedermair serves as President of Business Development for Argyle Trade Group, a commodity trading and international relations firm he co-founded, with a focus on conscientious and ethical business practices. In 2013 Niedermair led a trade delegation to West Africa meeting with local musicians, the renowned African entertainer Kanda Bongo Man, business, government and development leaders securing partnerships in key areas of commerce and cultural trade.
Niedermair is set to launch two production companies in 2015: Sounds & Signs an education, documentary and news based platform and Bad Wolf Productions   co-founded with Silver. Bad Wolf is in production to film the sequel to PacMan and Pe$o's ground breaking and historic music video "PacMan and Pe$o: Escape to North Korea" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil December, 2014.

JILL SACHS | CO-PRODUCER

Jill Sachs is a Los Angeles based writer and filmmaker. In June 2014 she debuted Ever Eve, a nostalgic and surreal short film inspired by Alzheimer’s disease. Currently making the rounds on the festival circuit, Ever Eve has been featured at Canton Film Festival, garnering the Grand Prize in Short Fiction, the Oregon Underground Film Festival, and has won an Indie Fest Award of Merit as well as an Accolade Award of Excellence.

Jill graduated from the University of Chicago, where she studied English and Anthropology, and was awarded a Metcalf Fellowship to work with the acclaimed Court Theatre. She supplemented her education by backpacking across five continents, eventually landing in Los Angeles. Jill has worked in commercial production with some of the industry’s best storytellers including Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu, Wally Pfister, Joseph Kosinski, and worked as a Director’s Assistant for Mark Romanek. 

Her writing and photography have been published online and in print, most recently featured in the Chicago literary magazine Graze. Jill is interested in exploring the convergence of technology with classic storytelling, and current projects include interactive short films and Arduino-based art installations.

STEPHEN TRINGALI | DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Stephen Tringali is a director of photography who has shot two feature-length films, as well as over 50 shorts, music videos, documentaries, and commercials.

His narrative work has been screened at festivals including the Vancouver International Film Festival, DC Shorts, Cleveland International Film Festival, and LA Shorts. His music videos have been featured on NPR's All Songs Considered, Pitchfork, Spin, Stereogum, Noisey, Paste Magazine, and CMJ - in addition to being named among the best music videos of 2013 (Gimme Tinnitus). His documentary work has been honored by the Student Academy Awards and distributed through Devolver Digital Films.

Stephen has also worked as the 2nd Unit Cinematographer on WALK OF FAME (starring Scott Eastwood, Malcolm McDowell, and Chris Kattan), MY AMITYVILLE HORROR (Fantasia International Film Festival), and FINDING JOSEPH I (a documentary following the life of BAD BRAINS lead singer HR).

Max Silver hails from Chevy Chase, MD, and has lived in Los Angeles for five years. He attended Carleton College in Minnesota earning degrees in film and economics. Max previously worked for commercial director Malcolm Venville at Anonymous Content, an esteemed company famous for producing True Detective (the good season) as well as recent hits Mr. Robot, Spotlight, and the small indi feature The Revenant.

When not writing or directing, Max works as a freelance commercial coordinator and production manager, working tirelessly to create the same commercials which he regularly skips while watching. He tries hard to not think too much about the irony.

Kat Niedermair | Producer

Katarina Niedermair is a creative who moves in the space of digital media as a brand strategist and evangelist. Kat is the founder of Warfare Media. She specializes in creating thematic arches, and earlier this year produced the biggest cross-country viral event of 2017, along with conferences on decentralization and cryptocurrency.

Kat has also worked with creative artists to construct beautiful promotional look-books for their art work, and to showcase their music. This is her first foray into film. The product of her work has appeared in the New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Gizmodo, Buzzfeed, Vice, Quartz and This American Life.

She is currently working on a new digital platform for creatives and teachers.
